Steve P. Rados, Inc. and The Sacramento County Sanitation District will be partnering on the construction of TheUpper Northwest Interceptor Section 9.

The Work to be performed under this Contract includes furnishing all labor, materials and equipment for UNWI 9 & Associated NEA Projects, one segment of the Upper Northwest Interceptor System. The Work consists of installing approximately 14,818 lineal feet of 36 inch diameter interceptor for a sanitary sewer located along Auburn Boulevard / Old Auburn Road, between Van Maren Lane and Fair Oaks Boulevard, referred to as Upper Northwest Interceptor 9 (UNWI 9);approximately 13,531 lineal feet of 36 inch diameter interceptor for a sanitary sewer located along Fair Oaks Boulevard and Oak Avenue between Old Auburn Road and Hazel Avenue, referred to as Northeast Area Relief Section 1 (NEA-1); and approximately 4,324 lineal feet of 24 inch diameter interceptor for a sanitary sewer located along Old Auburn Road between Fair Oaks Boulevard and Robert Creek Court, referred to as Northeast Area Relief Section 2 (NEA-2). The Work also includes construction of manholes, and connection of existing sewer services (local main lines or trunks, not home services) located near the intersections of Bonita Way/Old Auburn Road, Fair Oaks Boulevard/Old Auburn Road, Wachtel Way/Oak Avenue, Beech Avenue/Oak Avenue, and at the ends of UNWI 9, NEA-1 and NEA-2 portion of the Project.

Both trenchless and open trench construction methods will be used.
