We are excited to announce the award by LADWP to Rados of the Metropolitan Water District (MWD) LA-30 Connection (Venice) Project! This project is valued at $12,602,865 and is located in Venice at the intersection of Venice Blvd and Sepulveda Blvd.
At the completion of this project, LADWP will have further access to water supplied by MWD for supply to the LADWP systems in the Venice Area.
The Project consists of the installation of approximately 1,350 LF of 48” Welded Steel Pipe (WSP), approximately 350 LF of 20” and 24” WSP including cathodic protection, direct burial valves and a flowmeter, a Regulator Station and a Pressure Relief Station consisting of Precast vaults, regulator valves, pressure relief valves and including electrical support.
The projects also consists of signal, street and sidewalk improvements along with the normal street restoration.
The work is split up into 8 Work Areas to be completed in 5 stages while maintaining traffic in the area with 18 separate traffic handling detours.
The project is expected to be completed in a two year time frame.
